Of course you love your iPad and use it for everything but the most annoying thing is when your battery runs low! No one wants their battery life to fade so follow these easy tips to extend the life of your iPad’s battery and get more done while wasting less energy:
- Turn off push notifications. Push notifications allow your device to frequently connect for new messages so that you can be updated to the moment on anything new that happens. Turning off push stops your iPad from constantly grabbing at the servers to notify you of something new. Fetching works basically the same way and you can set your device to fetch hourly under the manual settings to conserve energy and still keep up to date.
- Lower the Screen Brightness. This is the very best way to conserve your iPad’s energy and it may be more comfortable to work with a dimmer setting. Auto-brightness will adjust the screen level for you or you can control it manually.
- Update your Device. Keeping your device up to date with the latest Apple updates will improve battery life as it runs better and is more compatible with the applications that you’re using.
- Turn off Bluetooth. Unless you’re actively connected to a Bluetooth device there’s no need for your device to search for one to connect to.
- Turn off Wifi. The same concept is true for wireless internet. Most of the time you will want to be able to connect to every free wifi source at your disposal but for times you know one isn’t available you can conserve a little energy. For example, there’s no reason your device should be looking for internet while you drive down the freeway and play Candy Crush. You can easily turn it on and off in your settings.
